One of our partners in Pakistan, College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) cut the ribbon on its newest campus at the weekend.
The new branch in Islamabad is the 14th COTHM to open, with others being located in the major cities of Pakistan and one in Dubai.
Mr Faisal Javed Khan, member of the senate of Pakistan, cut the ribbon as the guest of honour. Also in attendance were the general managers of five star hotels, CEOs of the top notch restaurants and travel management companies, diplomats, ambassadors, politicians, journalists and others.
Mr Ahmad Shafiq thanked his guests for their support. COTHM, he said, is putting in the best of efforts to meet the human resource and workforce needs of the hospitality and tourism industry to keep it growing and sustainable.
He added that the management of COTHM has a vision to empower the youth of Pakistan economically and socially, through a meaningful education model.
He lauded the vision of the government for the development and promotion of the tourism industry in Pakistan.
