A new book, Defining Business Success, has been published by the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), in collaboration with The National Business Awards and Southampton Solent University.

It details case studies of some of the winners of the National Business Awards 2007, an annual event sponsored by Orange, which recognises organisations that are raising the standards of commercial practice and creating the business intelligence of the future.

Written by experts of the Southampton Business School at Southampton Solent University, the book highlights some of the most successful Awards winners that have had the greatest impact on the business community and their customers.

Amongst the winning companies featured are Gü Chocolate Puds, North Wales Police, Summit Media Ltd, Speedy Hire and NatWest.

ICM’s Chief Executive, Professor Tom Thomas, is a judge on The National Business Awards panel and is very pleased to see the case studies made available in this form. He said: “I am delighted to have been involved in the judging process for The National Business Awards in recent years. The process is robust and fair and, on a personal note, it is a great privilege to be able to meet so many of our country’s successful leaders, be they from the private or public sector.”
