Twenty-five students in Pakistan were presented with their ICM certificates at an awarding ceremony on 19 November 2008.
The candidates completed their Punjab Board of Technical Education Examinations under the MoU signed between ICM and the Technical, Educational and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) earlier in April 2008.
The event was introduced by Mr. Nauman Ali Khan, the Manager of Curriculum at TEVTA, Govt. of Punjab.
ICM’s Regional Coordinator in Pakistan, Mr Moazam Shahbaz, then spoke about the Institute and the importance of the agreement for the promotion of TVET throughout the country.
A video message was played from the ICM Chief Executive, Professor Tom Thomas:
Engineer Javed Younis Upal, Chairman Education WING, Institution of Engineers Pakistan (Lahore Chapter), is also a member of ICM’s Education Advisory Board in Pakistan and praised Mr Shahbaz’s efforts in bridging the gap between Pakistan and the rest of the world, in terms of education and employment, by introducing and promoting ICM awards in Pakistan. He offered his full support to ICM in Pakistan for its promotion and development.
Finally, TEVTA Chairman Mr Moshin M. Syed presented the awards alongside Mr Shahbaz and Professor Javed Iqbal Malik.
